Now that fall is here in full swing (um.. don't mind that it's over 90 degrees out today...), winter is just around the corner! Yahoo Homes put together a list of 8 fall repairs you need to do. On top of their 8 great suggestions, here's a few of my own:
- Get a check up on your furnace. Have a certified heating and air conditioning company check your furnace so that when that first freeze rolls in, you don't also freeze.
- Make sure your emergency power-outage bag is ready! Batteries, flashlights, bottled water, etc. Pack it all!
- Make sure your car is cold weather ready! That's obviously not directly house related, but always good to do! Make sure it's running properly and has a few blankets and water bottles in the back if you were to be stranded during a winter storm.
